FunctionSales, Customer Service & OriginationIn India, ADM owns or leases multiple manufacturing assets to produce quality products in the consumer staples space. Apart from catering to the own brands of ADM, these assets also provide opportunities to service customers in the private label space. Currently, ADM is the most preferred vendor for many known national retail chains.ADM India is looking to hire an assistant manager, based out of Pune/Mumbai, to support its private label key accounts business. On a daily basis, the candidate will manage customer interactions and take ownership of end-to-end private label sales. It involves working with customers and internal stakeholders for generating and executing private label sales.Objectives of this role

  • Responsible for driving the Private Label business with National chains, e/q-commerce and reputed brand owners.
  • Ensuring achievement of sales target for all allocated product categories which may include- edible oils, pulses, soy chunks and other staples.
  • Identifying customer specific opportunity and developing business.
  • Sales planning & forecasting, coordinate with supply chain team for better services and availability.
  • Building, sustaining and leveraging relationships with key customers in order to streamline inputs and develop the business.
  • Assessing health of business partners with planning for appropriate credit/bargain risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with Plant operations and supply chain teams to ensure customer service and on-time delivery fulfillment.
  • Responsible for customer sales targets, building relationship with internal & external stakeholders, developing new customers, monitoring competition, keeping track of the daily working, keeping track of customer order pattern and maintaining records.
  • Handling customer complaints and working towards absolute customer delight.
  • Responsible for all corporate communications with customers; single point of contact for all private label customers
Your Responsibilities
  • Ensuring 100 % Sales achievement on monthly & quarterly basis.
  • Updating existing agreement involving all internal (legal, operations, quality, finance, etc.) and external stakeholders
  • Meetings regularly with customers on a quarterly basis; prepare an advance quarterly travel plan with clear deliverables
  • Negotiate best contract prices and carry out routine bookings and process them for approvals, and plan for future business
  • Follow up with customer for timely POs; push for faster deliveries and ensure on-time fulfillment in collaboration with supply chain staff and operations team
  • Troubleshooting problems related with logistics, quality and other related customer requests such as audits. Collaborate with quality team to deliver on customer requests related to certifications
  • Handle costumer complaints and be the single point of contact for resolving customer concerns
  • Manage customer disputes in coordination with ADM legal team and other relevant stakeholders
  • Create reports and presentations for Leadership team and create internal visibility for Private Label activities
  • Cross-sell ADM products; collaborate with other internal teams to increase ADM business with customers
  • Data Recording & Analysis; maintain clear records of all transactions and develop insights to improve sales
  • Stay updated on customer purchases, available vendors for private labels
  • Keep in touch with customers to develop and maintain long-term relationships; create quarterly visit plans
  • Manage customers\' expectations by thoroughly explaining process, identifying and mitigating challenges, and establishing clear communication lines
  • Create customer pipeline for private label sales and ensure timely implementation; Create and maintain a calendar to deliver targeted sales
  • Identify customer needs and create customer profiling for better insights and result delivery; Create customer roadmap for all new or prospective customers
Your Profile
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to analyze customer metrics, reports, and trends
  • Good working knowledge and experience of modern trade activities specially related with buying/procurement
  • Attitude & aptitude for sales; effective communication skills and a confident, pleasing and a go-getter personality
  • Should be a team player, working alongside people from all walks of life
  • Analytical, good Excel skills: achieves a good result through a well-planned approach
  • Should be able to identify, build and use a wide network of contacts with people at all levels, internally and externally
  • Initiative & Flexibility: Recognizes the need to adapt to change & implement appropriate solutions
  • ~3 years of relevant experience in key accounts/ category/ vendor management or a related field
  • Experience in handling Modern Trade staples business would be preferred
  • MBA in Sales & Marketing or equivalent from an institute of repute
  • Understanding of key accounts processes is a must
  • Analytical mind, with a passion for measuring data
  • Travel will be need based
