The Role:
- Plan and ensure timely Seed sampling & loading of Seeds from various processing units of country and conduct lab testing to confirm quality as per defined standards & result reporting
- Lead seed enhancement project by conducting various seed treatment trials to discover seed treatment combinations,
- Network with Government designated seed testing labs in states and build good relationship to ensure proper quality assurance.
- Analyze and investigate product complaints & conduct Root Cause Analysis from reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
- MSc Agriculture and/or PhD preferably in the area of Seed Technology, Plan Breeding from a reputed university with in depth knowledge of seed quality assurance parameters.
- A minimum 4-5 years relevant seed quality assurance lab experience and exposure of seed production research (SPR) and process involved in seed treatment, seed processing and packaging methods, and various tools used by seed industry.
- Good People management experience by handling a team of agriculture professional, seed technologist.
- Outstanding techno commercial skills and sound knowledge of seed industry, Agriculture situation and various crops season and best agronomic practices in the country.
- Process oriented person with solid analytical skills, problem-solving capability, and decision-making skills and greater adaptability in new environment.
