Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job The delivery of IT agenda for Planning operations is dependent on multiple processes across Supply Chain and planning is the most critical one. The role requires to deliver strategic and local/global IT solutions for end to end Plan to Procure cycle. Some of these solutions are in the area of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Analytics etc. Aligned to the digital roadmap for HUL, we are delivering these solutions across categories and clusters. To ensure that the digital agenda for Supply Chain Planning is landed well and is able to deliver the desired business value, the following aspects of technology management are of vital importance. With the Iops agenda setting in for HUL, we need to be fully equipped to deliver key initiatives such as Kinaxis, FEU and Aera Planning business has evolved over the last few years and it is driven heavily by technology with the latest being cognitive and AI/ML additions to our planning processes The focus has been shifting towards agile planning and S&OP Cycle, Machine Learning for Forecasting, agile production and integrated logistics , All this has been possible through strong internal and external partnerships With each of the products in this space emerging into pivotal sources of assisted decision making for the planning business there is a need to focus on product development at speed Key Responsibilities: As a primary accountability, the person will be accountable to ensuring a robust delivery model is in place to ensure reusability of existing IT components and fast tracking the delivery of solutions to HUL business Delivery governance aligned to this model and evolving the base solution template along with speedy localized features would be an expected output from this practice Partnering with the external vendors to run the operations and deliver change requests efficiently. Partnering with business stakeholders to understand the changes required and deliver efficiently with the help of Fusion platform team. Key Accountability: Technology delivery management, Technology platform operations (Platform Engagement) & Platform governance (to ensure technology lands at the right time and right cost and is able to deliver the sustained business value) Most of the practices / processes needed to ensure the above are either initiated fresh and some might be yet to be initiated. Deliver technology at the right time & cost, stable IT platform. Automating the redundant/manual processes being executed by business/vendors with a cost-effective platform is the key purpose.
