What this job involves:

  • Demonstrate high proficiency in HR processes and standard operating procedures with the ability to resolve complex queries or deliverables
  • Promote and support a positive and inclusive team environment where respect for the individual is valued
  • Collaborate across the HR Operating Model to ensure the right work is aligned to the right team, ensuring escalation paths are understood and teams are working together to understand their role in the model
  • Set and monitors direction, goals and expectations for direct reports
  • Provides coaching and manages work assignments to meet quality, performance and service goals
  • Provides day-to-day work direction for team, focused on maintaining steady workflow, resource allocation and productivity
  • Lead / Attend daily meetings and review with leadership to identify team capacity
  • Leading Global (APAC, EMEA & AMR) HR processes which includes Onboarding, Employee Life Cycle - Transfer, Promotion, Exits etc
  • Support complex or escalated matters and monitor workload of team
  • Lead the implementation of processes, procedures, and policies necessary to manage a multi-tiered shared service HR while driving towards standardization at the same time
  • Drive SLA/OLA implementation and changes in the team to meet service levels
  • This role requires a clear understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
  • Complete participation in Operational Excellence Initiatives and driving it to successful closure
  • Act as a backup for the manager by proactively taking the ownership as and when situation warrants
  • Need to hold monthly meaningful conversations with team members to discuss performance, coaching and feedback, training needs, and career discussions
  • Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflict
  • Work towards the capacity building to ensure there are contingency plans in place for work
  • Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets
  • Providing training and delivering productive feedback to team members to maximize their potential
  • Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team
  • Actively participate in Operational Excellence initiative within HR Direct, providing appropriate support to all Manager/Team member as needed. Ensure risks & issues are monitored, escalated and resolved on real time
  • Conduct root cause analysis for Quality check issues and advising management on trends or patterns. Manage RCA analysis on the errors, or processes not meeting the Quality check parameters/framework and implement improvement strategies.
  • Create/Update/Review Process Maps and SOPs of related HR processes and work closely with team to ensure all documents are up to date.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in driving process standardization and streamlining, supported with content creation on timely manner
  • Supporting the New transitions, Change Management activities with creation/updating of contents/required documents and sending relevant communication to stakeholders/within team
Key Skills:
  • Demonstrated good understanding of core HR Service practices, processes and procedures
  • Previous experience in a Workday HR environment & Service Now
  • Experience in leading a HR services team of at least 20 members for at least 3-4 years
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources or another related field
  • 9-10 years of experience in HR Shared or client services role preferred
