About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Global Payroll to join our team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Finance . The successful candidate will be responsible for global payroll operations (US, India, AUS, UK and Canada). This position will be responsible for ensuring payroll practices are best in class and will act as the liaison in resolving complex business opportunities with internal and external partners. The role requires a candidate with ability to manage and improve the payroll operations (performance metrics, internal controls, compliance, automation...) as well as to manage payroll transformation projects.
What skills do I need?
• Candidates who possess a Degree/PG in Accounting, or related Finance field.
• 5+ years global payroll experience.
• Hands on experience producing journal entries and accruals in payroll accounting.
• Experience in writing internal procedure documentation.
• Experience working with Human Resource team to collaborate on special payroll circumstances.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with outsourced payroll compliance vendors (e.g. ADP, TriNet and Xero).
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google business applications.
What will I be doing?
• Process employee multiple country payroll as per the schedule in consultation with payroll partners.
• Monitor the deductions from payroll, including statutory deductions, tax withholdings and other garnishments.
• Make sure the salary disbursements happen accurately and address any rejected transactions.
• Prepare & post the payroll cost entries in the respective regions, reconcile all the related payroll ledgers periodically.
• Make sure all the Statutory payments are made into the Govt. Account and also file the statutory reports within the stipulated due dates.
• Prepare payroll MIS reports on regular basis.
• Manage Payroll audits on a periodical basis.
• Handle employee queries on their payroll, tax/investment declaration and provide induction on payroll for new hires.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute payroll functions effectively.
• Continuously improve the payroll process by identifying opportunities and implementing changes to streamline the payroll process, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
