Should have worked on Revenue Accounting. or should be able to at least explain Revenue related journal entries.Should know IFRS 15 basics in theory.Worked on large scale ERP package like SAP or Oracle. SAP preferred.Hands on experience in Excel and complicated formulas.Role Purpose:To independently handle a Local Market (Entity) for IFRS 15 revenue Accounting. He has to work with Local Market team on IFRS 15 revenue accounting for which he/she needs to understand revenue Accounting in current scenario and IFRS 15 in theory at least. He/she should be able to brainstorm and come up with ideas in terms of system functionality requirements.Responsibilities:Key accountabilities (Role Description)

  • Independently perform Month End Activity which includes revenue posting, Manual over the Adjustments, journal preparation and journal upload.
  • Ensuring consistent application of revenue accounting policies and procedures.
  • Performing regular reconciliations, analysis and reporting across different systems.
  • Identifying any issues or differences: ensuring that the differences are investigated and resolved.
  • Should be able to understand IFRS 15 and validate the interpretations done by others on the same.
  • Understand the Accounting standard and visualize its impact in telecom industry and come up with ideas for system improvisation.
  • Align with Local Market understand their market specific localization and give solution both in Accounting sense and from system point of view.
  • Provide inputs on Business Objects/Business Intelligence reports development.
  • System testing for results comparison with manual calculation based on standard interpretation.
  • Prepare SOPS or working Manuals.
  • Ensuring appropriate controls and compliance requirements are followed.
