Role Profile This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing the Data & Analytics (D&A) Performance Insights capability in our Bangalore Centre of Excellence (CoE). This is an Analyst level position and will be responsible for delivery of business partner support in conjunction with our global Sales and Account Management (SAM) and Product Finance Business Partners. This new team will be the \'glue\' that brings the SAM and Product teams together, enabling greater connectivity and understanding of performance, past and future, across all D&A businesses and geographies. : Reporting to the Finance Manager, Revenue and Sales, you will be a finance partner covering part of our global organization with focus on sales and revenue performance. In this role, you will partner with D&A Finance colleagues globally and directly with the business in D&A to drive commercial excellence and salesforce effectiveness (efficiency & throughput) - right metrics, measurement system, actions, and follow-through. Major responsibilities would include (but not limited to): Reporting: Delivery of month end close and validation of reported result in conjunction with the Controllership organization Dealing with queries from front line teams and finance colleagues linked to the month end sales and revenue reporting Managing reporting to regional and business teams Supporting in the preparing of ad-hoc business analysis to support initiatives and areas of business focus Forecasting: Responsible for the delivery of the sales and revenue forecasting process including collation of data points and review of model outputs Preparation of forecast reporting and information packs containing relevant details and context of forecast performance by region and business line Understanding the business in order to provide insightful commentary Performance analysis: Delivery of standardised performance analysis and insight - e.g. sales trend data, channel data, top customer analysis etc Ad hoc performance analysis requests (from Business and Finance teams) Management of key data sets linked to sales and revenue. For example contract renewal trackers, usage data, price achievement insight and pipeline information Business Partnering: Partnering with business colleagues from within the sales organization and the Product teams to deliver reporting, collaborate on opportunities and provide support for business growth decisions Partnering with the commissions team to provide financial data enabling the payment of quarterly commissions Support on M&A transactions as required Competencies Required: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Outstanding interpersonal abilities - an ability to communicate effectively with key partners Makes confident, fact-based decisions Approaches problems from different perspectives in order to suggest and implement solutions Strong customer focus and work ethic Takes accountability for delivering on commitments owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development Adept at using logic and reasoning to work through problems and analyze information Self-starter and can work autonomously Knowledge & Skills: Broad business and managerial knowledge Resolves complex business issues through application of in-depth skills, knowledge and understanding of industry issues Scope of Impact: Provides leadership and direction Manages financial and operational results Provides input on resolving key issues that directly impact business Proactively recommends process, product or improvements to internal/ external business challenges or regulatory issues Solves unique and complex problems that impact the business At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
