Job Description


The external reporting finance team is involved in producing the financial statements based on the statutory rules and as per the local GAAP/ IFRS requirements on a quarterly basis. The team is also involved in the preparation of the various reports and forms as prescribed by the Insurance regulatory authorities of various countries where AXA XL writes its insurance business on a quarterly and annual basis. The team produces various reports for the regulator to show we maintain a sufficient level of solvency and liquidity as prescribed by the regulator. The team prepares various reports as prescribed by the corporate close calendar. The team performs data clean-ups and prepares various source systems & other reconciliations to support various stakeholders and auditors.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?xc2xb7 Providing support in quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting for Syndicate legal entity (UK GAAP/IFRS ledger-based reporting).xc2xb7 Preparation of Source system (the frame) to GL reconciliation for Balance sheet accounts such as Receivable/Payable, Losses, Unearned premiums and Deferred acquisition cost.xc2xb7 Book monthly and quarterly manual journal entries including Premium, IBNR, acquisition cost, STAT adjustments etc.xc2xb7 Preparing intercompany reconciliations & posting relevant IC cleanup & settlement journals.xc2xb7 Responsible for supporting audit requirements and related queries.xc2xb7 Coordination with the Controllership team for quarter-end close activities like reporting LOB-wise P&L, Variance analysis & commentaries, packs, managing and working on ad-hoc requests.xc2xb7 Preparing reconciliation between HFM and EFRL.xc2xb7 Highly focused on automation/ simplification of the templates/ data requirement wherever possible.xc2xb7 Participate in projects as required to ensure that financial data are handled in full accordance with statutory requirements.You will report to the Manager.QualificationsSHARE your talentWexe2x80x99re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Required Skills and Abilities:xc2xb7 Good working knowledge command over MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.xc2xb7 Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, VBA, Macros etc will be an added advantage.xc2xb7 Knowledge of systems like theframe, Destiny, Oracle EFR, Oracle EBS, and HFM is preferred.xc2xb7 Knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP is required.xc2xb7 Working Accounting knowledge, with an excellent understanding of Financial Statements (P&L and BS).Desired Skills and Abilities:xc2xb7 Effective analytical skills and the ability to work resiliently and bring tasks to closure.xc2xb7 Insurance/Reinsurance knowledge preferred.xc2xb7 Able to work extended hours during critical times.xc2xb7 CA/CPA with relevant years of experience OR MBA Finance/Postgraduate/CA Inter with relevant years of experience in a reputed organizationFIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
