ROLE TITLE: Asst. Manager Advance EngineeringREPORTS TO:Manager Development & DesignLOCATION: CSTL R&D, BhandupDATE: 08.05.24JOB PURPOSE:To ensure FEM simulation of Bias/Radial Agriculture, Industrial and OTR Tyres as per the development plan, and to provide robust analytical technical support to internal stakeholders and OEMs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing/improving Computer Aided Engineering Finite Element models for linear/nonlinear analysis using ABAQUS, HYPER MESH, AUTO CAD, CATIA software
• Ensuring and facilitating new product designs verification as per the NPD plan.
• Interpreting results, analyzing FEM data and corelating FEA data with the measured data and FEA Reports preparation for all NPD and other projects.
• Application of FEM techniques in product design stage to predict tyre footprint, dimensions, stiffness and durability parameters under static & dynamic loads
• Developing/improving tyre material property model (for Rubber and reinforcements) and correlating/validating model with measured mechanical properties.
• Should be able to guide Compounding team in Material Testing as per Hyperplastic and viscoelastic PRF material models and extract material coefficients for FEM analysis.
• Actively participate in the development of new technologies including new tyre designs, new material models, and new methods/techniques for FEA
• Work independently or within a team to define and deliver the FEA analysis results within stipulated timeframe.
• To collectively support, develop and enhance the FEM predictive analysis procedures significant to tyre development and knowledge of the team
• To carry out special projects inline to R&D strategy and provide resolution for the Field failure issues through FEM analysis
• To prepare technical papers and presentation for publication
• Support New Product Development and OEM approvals
• To develop and safeguard technical intellectual property within the function
• To continuously capture knowledge and learning in knowledge management system
