Job Description


Summary He/She will typically be aligned to specific businesses or sectors. Individuals will generally either be located at, and only support, a specific site or project (including construction), or have a role that requires specific industry/business expertise or interaction with specific business customers. This category will include those EHS professionals involved in designing for EHS (NPI), individuals responsible for customer or industry engagement, and EHS professionals working at Fixed Facility (generally not managing teams of EHS professionals or regions).
Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Integrate EHS systems and programs into all manufacturing operations. Ensure that the all operations and processes are in accordance with established EHS guidelines of GE and develop guidelines wherever these are not available.
  • Assist in implementing Incident Management Plan /Emergency Plan and provide support for carrying out emergency exercises.
  • Interpret and help implement all applicable legal and other requirements related with EGS.
  • Participate in and facilitate in incident / accident investigation related to our employees, Contractors & Third parties. Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA), recommend corrective and preventive actions and monitor implementation.
  • Identify, manage and organize various types of EHS training for employees and contractors for various business.
  • Coach, influence and reinforce positive EHS behaviors for all employees and contractors
  • Organize & assist in doing Risk Assessment, Environment Impact assessment and audits at the manufacturing operations & recommend improvements and monitor implementation.
  • Ensure EHS induction system is streamlined for all new entrants.
  • Implement a system of daily safety round & tool box talk along with operational managers & proactively identify & mitigate the hazards and deviations.
  • Drive & assist in implementing the initiatives & projects taken on Sustainability and Environmental Compliances
  • Ensure timely submission of Environmental Compliances and Work with MPCB for obtaining CTO and CTE when required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BE Full Time in Mechanical , Electrical , Chemical, or Environmental Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in EHS in Manufacturing set up preferably with MNCs
