We are hiring an Assistant Manager - Business Development for a Swedish MNC.
Work Location: Primary Location would be Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune
Reporting To: Assistant General Manager - Sales
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production from reputed university, Masters in Business Administration or Diploma in Marketing will be added advantage. Must have basic computer knowledge and must be convergent to IT systems.
Experience: Min. 5 to 10 years of work experience
Profile Summary: -
Achieving established sales and profitability targets and to develop existing and new customers and applications. Support the SU team to solve corrosion and material selection issue. End customer, EPC connect to drive technical discussion, presentation. Value selling, helping customer to solve the problems.
This position has responsibilities as below:
Have a deep knowledge on technical issues faced by refinery, chemical and petrochemical industry on wet corrosion and high temperature corrosion, including corrosion mechanism, corrosion tests, failure mode and root cause analysis, Drive Sales and Key Strategic Marketing initiatives to meet Sales Plans in the given area along with SU.
Based on customer service condition, analysis corrosion risk and recommended proper material.
Make testing plan at customer side based on existing facilities & monitor them.
Development plan for new grades for various applications in Refinery and petrochemical segment,
Deep discussion with customer /EPC/ Licensor corrosion engineer of their corrosion problems,
To develop and continuously maintain a deep understanding tubular product, the applications, and processes in our customer& and the benefits of tubular segments products against competition.
To actively promote the current range of grades & products, together with the introduction of new products to market.
Maintain and develop the relationship with key customers, EPC, Licensors with the support from Sales.
Identify next best alternative material in the related application. And identify related product development needs.
To become an active representative and presenter for some important conference related to tubular product
Be the link between India SU\xc2\xb4s and marketing, R&D and production at PU. To be a resource for Customer Problem Solving technical support before the R&D or global technical support function needs to get involved.
Be responsible to write technical articles & present it in various forums and conferences.
Be the representatives for the registered associations, forums.
Actively search and develop new applications, establish knowledge, and value arguments.
To be a source of technical and product expertise, provide support to sales activities, technical seminar, negotiations.
Contribute to the market intelligence from application and competition, customer segment trend perspective.
Being part of the new product development team with the PU as local window.
Other tasks may be assigned by the manager.
Required Competence
Deep corrosion knowledge and the ability to learn quickly. Heat exchanger & Fabrication industry knowledge will be added advantage
Good self-awareness.
Must be good in communication, interpersonal, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Prepare to travel, sometimes can be a lot, enthusiasm, initiative, right attitude, and a good team player.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbal and writing.
Good at making presentations to group, run discussions, dialogues.
