### Role description


Role Proficiency:



Acts with guidance and support to ensure smooth operations of day-to-day transactions in a semiconductor product development lab



Outcomes:



• Assist in implementation of 6S process in lab management


• Assist in all lab audits internal and external) to ensure process compliance


• Enable basic lab setup including host and network


• Perform low complexity SMD level rework


• Perform low complexity board setup.


• Assist in lab staging and scrapping tasks


• Assist in lab inventory handling


• Assist in handling shipments using shipment management tool


• Ensure smooth operations of lab inventory day-to-day transactions.


• Enable lab item transfer from location to location to enable lab operations


• Deliver daily tasks related to lab operations as per directions provided


• Adhere to safety guideline of lab (Chemical Electrical Fire and General Safety Guidelines)


• Practice FAST Goals; seek and accept feedback



Measures of Outcomes:



• Adherence to lab process and standards (lab standards)


• Adherence to schedule and timelines


• Adhere to SLAs where applicable


• Reduction of reoccurrence of handling error based on SLA


• Completion of all mandatory training requirements

• Create documentation for one's work




Inventory Management:



• Enable day -to-day transactions


• Count materials

equipment in stock and update in documents


• Report discrepancies between physical counts versus computer/ data records

• Consume and contribute to lab related documents

share point and client universities.




Status Reporting:



• Report status of tasks assigned


• Compliance to lab related reporting standards and process

Knowledge Examples:


Basic understanding of hardware including desktop handheld computers Mother Boards and peripherals

• Additional Comments:

Inventory management of the Incoming, Working and Out-going items, Maintaining all record for departmental Audit. o Installation, Commissioning and maintenance, application installation, antivirus and patch updates /upgrades for the Lab Servers, Switches, Networking devices as well as Storage systems o OS support for Windows and Linux o Lab Network monitoring and support. LAN, WAN, SED, WLAN support & installation o VMware support, New VM creation, configuration, monitoring o Timely response to all ITERP requests (Intel Security s for patch updates) o Deploy and maintain tools for monitoring of entire Lab DCGS Labs infra including servers, VMs, APS etc. o Maintain the rack infrastructure with proper labelling / cabling o Windows/ Linux file server administration, maintenance and backup of critical data. o Work with automation team on enhancing the Server Lab ticketing tool o Monitor and report out Infra health, activity and tickets report in weekly Server Labs sync meeting o Interface with Server Labs teams across various location on various Server Labs related tasks. o Interface with Partners and customer POC (Point of Contact) to close the requested configuration for successful POC (Proof of Concept) environment Operational support to ensure smooth functioning of the day to day activities. o Maintaining the lab equipment (Servers, Desktops, laptops), doing the detailed inventory of the lab. o Preparing platforms and shipping it to customers (for launch enabling activities etc.). This requires installing OS per customer requirement (usually we get it in email from customer) o Continuously updating the inventory and maintaining track of the shipments (received). o Upgrading the machines - For launch related activities, alpha/beta machines might come and these machines needs to update to latest revision as advised by Intel managers. o Bench marking activities support - The support personnel should assist the Manager on benchmarking activities. This activity will involve setting and configuring the servers, installing relevant software's and demonstrating the features to the customers. o Coordinating on the shipment of test units to customers.
