Assistant Finance Manager

About the Job:
The mission of the Assistant Finance Manager is to be instrumental in driving the financial integrity of the company. The incumbent of this role focuses on key financial areas including accounting, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Your Impact:
Financial Compliance & Controls:
• Assist in developing and implementing internal controls within the Finance and Accounts department.
• Support the preparation and timely filing of tax returns, including TDS, GST, and income tax.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies.
Auditing:
• Participate in internal and external audits to verify accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with auditors for Statutory and Tax audits as required.
Financial Reporting:
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Perform reconciliations of ledger accounts, including bank accounts, receivables, and payables.
Bookkeeping & Systems:
• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Netsuite or similar platforms.
• Review transactions and bills related to projects, purchases, and sales to ensure accuracy.
Cash Flow & Analysis:
• Assist in cash flow management and reporting to optimize liquidity.
• Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and provide insights for improvement.
Financial planning and analysis:
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
• Developing and maintaining financial models to support decision-making.
• Providing commercial insight and analysis of results, and identifying underlying trends.
• Identifying and reporting KPIs that are linked to company strategy
Liaison & Support:
• Serve as a point of contact with banks, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Provide support to internal teams on financial performance and queries.
What you bring to the table:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Netsuite).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
