What this job involves:
Steering projects at the helm
To be stationed in (region/country), you\xe2\x80\x99ll work side-by-side with the cost manager or senior cost manager to ensure the success of a project\xe2\x80\x94from its pre-design phase to its completion. You\xe2\x80\x99ll assemble and lead various project teams; and monitor the teams\xe2\x80\x99 performance, and bring out the best in every team member. You\xe2\x80\x99re also in charge of creating the organisational structure, project objectives and working procedures for the teams.
Your Cost management skills will also be of great value, as you set up clear project cost plans and allot sufficient budget to achieve optimal results and meet the company\xe2\x80\x99s target profits. Also part of your job is to attend project meetings as required, develop monthly reports and carry out contract administration. Furthermore, you\xe2\x80\x99ll oversee negotiations, analyses and promotions of quality control systems.
Your task is to fully understand, collect and deliver clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements. The CC team will depend on you to help schedule or plan establishment, value engineer, and design change management. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also assist the contract manager in all related procurement and VO management. On top of that, you\xe2\x80\x99ll support the construction manager in all related installation, site inspection and contractor management, Prepare BOQ\xe2\x80\x99s, Quantity Survey & Quantity Take Off, Cost Analysis for each of the line items in the BOQ as required for project to project, Benchmarking, Review & Standardize of Specifications, Sound Technical Knowledge on Civil / MEP aspects as applicable, Procurement from Cost Management perspective, Finalise Commercials with vendors, Rate Contracts as applicable,
