Job Purpose

In order to support the deployment and industrialization of many of the Group\'s new solutions (construction of H2 Giga Factory, steel production decarbonization processes) around the world for our customers, the industry sector has created a new activity: Industrial Project Services (IPS). This team is responsible for supporting our development teams in the industrialization of their new solutions, managing the construction of these new factories, and supporting them in the management of these large-scale projects. And more specifically for the services related to the estimating, detailed design, sourcing, project management, quality insurance and construction of these facilities all over the world.

In order to strengthen the development of these activities, especially in order to prioritize all the actions in this fast-growing business, John Cockerill is looking for a new Scheduler for the IPS Team. The position is based in Thane, Mumbai in India.

Key Responsibilities

• Define with the sales team (during LTO) the most suitable planning structure to ensure a suitable scheduling of the project.
• List and sequence all activities according to WBS and durations (standard or estimated)
• Participate in the elaboration of the schedule process with our suppliers/customers working towards schedule improvement.
• Support the Sales team during working sessions with the customers or suppliers.
• Adapt if needed with the project team (during OTC process) the planning structure to ensure an effective follow-up of the project.
• Adapt the lists and sequences of all activities according to WBS and durations (standard or estimated) if needed during execution.
• Together with the project manager, analyze and challenge the schedules (Supplier, Customer, Internal). Adapts and feeds the corresponding indicators.
• Participate in the elaboration of the proofs of delays/non-delays in the litigation process with our suppliers/customers.
• Support the project team during dispute meetings on deadlines with the customer or suppliers.
• Evaluate current processes and recommend changes to improve planning efficiency.
• Collect and analyze all necessary information plan projects.
• List and sequence all activities according to WBS and durations (standard or estimated)
• Identify and include external interfaces (Customers, Suppliers...)
• Implement progress update rituals through the various departments involved in the project.
• Generate forecasts, backlog reports and advances, and any other useful documentation to track and manage projects.
• Analyze the critical path, highlight delays and suggest options to reduce risks.
• Verify schedule consistency with delivery dates.
• Identify and resolve issues that lead to scheduling errors.
• Analyze the impact of a change request.
• Challenge the organization to control and reduce delays.
• Understands and uses standardized planning methods and tools.
• Collaborate with schedulers community within Industry and Environment sectors and under the coordination of the SERM Scheduler in order to propose and implement standardized planning solutions and best practices.
• Participate in the administration of planning tools.
• Ensure a technological watch and benchmark in its field of expertise.
• Propose and implements rapid solutions for small projects or pre-projects.
• Implement a consolidation tool to analyze workloads and progress by business line or other level of filter/grouping to help team managers better control their department\'s activities.
• Implement follow-up tools.

Education & Experience

• B.E / B.Tech.
• Proven experience in performance of PMO Scheduling accountabilities.
• Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies, Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, Manage risk and issue. Lead review with PMO stakeholder
• Ability to shoulder responsibility, achieve team goals and Devising strategies to overcome roadblocks in process to meet PMO Vision and strategy.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects or varying scope and magnitude.
• Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office Tools.
• Experience working with any Industrial EPC Company.
• The Scheduler must be available for temporary missions, sometimes on short notice, including international travel.

Background, Skills and Competencies

Implement planning, review, control, startup execution and closeout processes and engage in process improvement activities.

• Integrating inputs from all areas, appropriate to the phase of the Project and in accordance with the Contract.

• Revise monitor, drive priorities to achieve schedule timeline of the project.

• Supports the PM by using the Project schedule for the proactive identification of risks and opportunities, Lessons Learnt and documentation.

• Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

• Develop and manage Estimates at Completion and prepare Earned Value Implementation projects.

• Support briefing and tool development with senior management. Handle status reports and project management reviews.

• Competent with project planning software, MS project and other similar planning tools.
