Position Overview:
The Assistant Accounts Manager in a logistics company is responsible for supporting the Accounts Manager in overseeing the financial activities of the organization. This role includes managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting in budgeting and financial planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to management.
• Prepare financial analysis and performance reports to support decision-making processes.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable and receivable.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Support management in financial planning and analysis activities.
Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits, addressing any findings or recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.
Financial Controls:
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Review and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval of financial transactions.
Taxation and Payroll:
• Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits.
• Address any payroll-related issues and ensure compliance with labor laws.
Team Support and Development:
• Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff, including training and development.
• Assist the Accounts Manager in managing the accounting team and workload distribution.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and address any interdepartmental issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
