:
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our accounting department in daily accounting operations. You will work closely with the senior accountants to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, assist in preparing reports, and maintain proper records. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial records: Prepare, verify, and record day-to-day transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and bank statements.
Assist in preparing financial statements: Help in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, etc.).
Reconcile accounts: Ensure bank and other account reconciliations are completed accurately.
Process payments and invoices: Handle payments to vendors and other stakeholders as per company policy.
Support audit process: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Tax-related tasks: Assist with GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
Record keeping: Maintain proper records of transactions and receipts for audit and compliance purposes.
Prepare reports: Assist in generating financial reports as requested by management.
Handle correspondence: Respond to inquiries and liaise with vendors, customers, and other departments.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
1-3 years of experience in accounting or related functions.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office tools.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other indirect taxes.
Experience with payroll processing.
Basic understanding of IFRS/GAAP.
