Accountant Roles and Responsibilities :General Accounting

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain financial records.
  • Journal Entries & Reconciliation: Ensure accurate transaction recording and account balancing.
GST (Goods and Services Tax)
  • Compliance & Returns: Ensure GST compliance and file returns.
  • Audits & Input Tax Credit: Assist in audits and manage tax credit claims.
TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)
  • Compliance & Returns: Deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns.
  • Certificates & Reconciliation: Issue Form 16/16A and reconcile TDS records.
Income Tax
  • Compliance & Filing: Ensure compliance and file returns.
  • Planning & Audits: Advise on tax planning and assist in audits.
Financial Reporting
  • Statements & Reports: Prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Variance Analysis: Explain differences between actual and budgeted figures.
Excel Proficiency
  • Data Analysis & Spreadsheets: Use Excel for analysis and complex spreadsheets.
  • Automation & Reporting: Implement macros and create reports/dashboards.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Audit Support & Documentation: Assist in audits and maintain records.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
