We\'re looking for a professional to join the Client Revenue Operations (CRO).OUR IMPACTClient Revenue Operations (CRO) is an integral part of the GSAM funds and separate accounts business. CRO covers a range of revenue related activities that allows team members to interact with multiple internal and external teams, vendors, and industry experts. This role will allow one to gain exposure to the workings of the GSAM business, as well as detailed understanding of Client Revenue Operations.
CRO is responsible for all revenue related activities including different types of fees receivables and payables within GSAM Funds and Institutional Separate account business.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALThis role focuses on the Offshore Funds managed by the CRO team. Key functions performed as part of this role:Rebate & Trailer Oversight:
  • Implementation and maintenance of Distribution and Rebate agreements as well as the ongoing calculation of trailer and rebate fees, working closely with sales, legal, product development and portfolio management teams
  • Perform monthly and/or quarterly controls around the rebate and trailer processes with the aim of reducing errors and increasing accuracy, as well as continuing to improve existing controls and carrying out ad-hoc reviews as required
The following items are applicable for a supervisory role:
  • Ongoing review and maintenance of internal policies and procedures with a view to increase automation, scalability, and outsourcing of tasks to external vendors with appropriate controls, governance, and cost efficiencies.
  • Managing vendor/s associated with this process
  • Co-ordinating set-up of internal / external systems and platforms for new investors, in partnership with distribution services, product development and the funds group teams
  • Oversight for accuracy of calculation and processing of rebate and trailer fees for various investment products and funds in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct rigorous verification of fee calculations to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors before payment processing.
  • Oversight of timeliness and accuracy of processing rebate and trailer fee payments to external parties, such as distributors and financial intermediaries.
  • Skillfully match incoming payments to the corresponding internal General Ledger (GL) entries, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of fee calculations, ensuring transparency and auditability.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the rebate and trailer fee calculation function
  • Provision of management/board reporting, and information for ad-hoc management requests.
The candidate will be required to work with senior members of the division and cover both day to day and project related tasks relevant to the activities mentioned in the summary above.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE\'RE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in similar industry, specifically within Revenue functions
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, investment products, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to project-based work, especially with thinking through and delivering policy and process improvements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of Receivables and payables function/workings
  • Knowledge of Separate accounts and offshore mutual fund transfer agent operations, processing, and compliance standards
  • Knowledge of multi-currency domestic/cross border payments
  • Experience in the banking/asset management industry
  • Experience in Business Intelligence tools or automation
