JOB DESCRIPTION

The Class Actions & Proxy Analyst ensures timely completion of Class Action processing, including logging and tracking new cases received from vendor, reconciling accounts for certification letters mailing for Managed and Brokerage/Custody accounts. The timely class action filing submission of litigations to vendor by industry deadline. The Specialist performs various control functions to ensure timely execution of all related processes. The Specialist will work on various proprietary systems to research account histories and allocate proceeds. The Specialist will work with the team manager to identify service gaps and implement departmental controls to ensure the integrity of the function, as well as ensuring procedures are documented and kept current. In addition, the Specialist may participate in various project initiatives including user acceptance testing of new or updated processes.

Required qualification, skills and capabilities:

• Demonstrated ability to raise issues to relevant stakeholders or management with respect to the control environment.
• 6 to 8 years of Banking / Cash Product / Securities / Processing experience in financial services environment. (Preferable Corporate Actions / Asset Servicing Experience)
• This role requires meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage operations in absence of Process Manager.
• An acute awareness of the high risk, time critical and complex nature of the Asset & Wealth Management Ops environment, an ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines is essential.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through.
