: Assessment Creators and Reviewers For Grades 6-10 (CCSS Math & NGSS Science)

We are seeking experienced and skilled Assessment Creators and Reviewers to develop high-quality, standards-aligned assessments for CCSS (Common Core State Standards) Math and NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) for grades 6-10 . These are contractual positions with an expected duration of 5 months , with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop 20-25 flawless assessment items per day aligned with CCSS for Math and NGSS for Science, ensuring minimal need for review or editing.

- Create diagnostic assessments with clear learning outcomes and objectives, ensuring alignment with Bloom's Taxonomy, Depth of Knowledge (DoK), and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix.

- Construct distractor rationales , hints , and feedback that are pedagogically sound and support student learning and assessment interpretation.

- Ensure each assessment item has appropriate difficulty and is cognitively demanding as per the standards, while understanding the difference between cognitive load and item difficulty .

- Utilize proven assessment design frameworks to develop questions that measure understanding, application, analysis, and higher-order thinking skills.

- Collaborate with the project team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

- Review and revise items as needed to ensure all assessment content is error-free and aligned with the required standards.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in creating or reviewing assessment items for educational institutions, edtech companies, or related fields.

- Proven experience with CCSS (Math) and NGSS (Science) standards. Do not apply if you lack this specific experience.

- Strong understanding of Bloom's Taxonomy , Depth of Knowledge (DoK) , and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix .

- Excellent command of the English language , both written and verbal, with attention to detail for error-free content.

- Ability to work independently from home and produce high-quality work in a f ast-paced environment with tight deadlines .

- Ability to distinguish between the difficulty of an assessment item and its cognitive load, ensuring appropriate levels of challenge.

- Knowledge of effective diagnostic assessments , with the ability to provide i nsightful feedback and distractor rationales for incorrect answers.

Additional Information:

- Contract Duration: 5 months, with potential for extension.

- Work Environment: Remote, work-from-home.

- Expected Output: 20-25 high-quality items per day.

- Application Requirement: Only candidates with proven experience in CCSS Math and NGSS Science will be considered.
