Assembly Supervisor
Job Description
An assembly supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly process in a manufacturing plant, including the workers, equipment, and production. Their duties include:
• Training : Training new staff on job duties, safety procedures, and company policy
• Quality control : Ensuring that assembly phases are completed accurately and on time, and that the product meets quality standards
• Safety : Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that safety is the top priority when assigning work
• Scheduling : Scheduling shifts and coordinating work activities with other departments
• Equipment maintenance : Maintaining equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Production goals : Setting production goals and monitoring work order progress
• Documentation : Maintaining production documents, timecards, and overtime records
• Collaboration : Collaborating with other departments to optimize production processes
• Reporting : Preparing production and other reports
