Position Overview

The assembly fitter and technician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals. The ideal candidate will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that products are assembled efficiently and safely and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly and Installation :
• Assemble, fit, and install mechanical components and systems, ensuring correct alignment, tolerance, and functionality.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine assembly processes and instructions.
• Perform required adjustments and modifications to parts and assemblies to meet technical specifications.
• Testing and Inspection :
• Conduct routine tests on completed assemblies and systems to ensure proper functioning and performance.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all components meet company and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions for assembly problems.
• Maintenance and Repair :
• Maintain and repair machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and components during maintenance activities.
• Ensure the upkeep of assembly workstations, tools, and machinery.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Document assembly processes, procedures, and any issues encountered during the assembly and testing stages.
• Provide regular progress reports and feedback to supervisors and engineers.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaboration and Communication :
• Work closely with the engineering, design, and production teams to ensure products are assembled according to design specifications.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve technical problems and meet project deadlines.
• Health & Safety Compliance :
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Wear appropriate protective gear and handle tools and equipment safely.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education :
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Technical or vocational certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience :
• Proven experience in mechanical assembly and fitting, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with assembly tools, machinery, and mechanical systems.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical systems (preferred).
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Problem-Solving :
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Soft Skills :
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position with potential overtime as needed.
• Work in a factory, workshop, or assembly environment.
• May involve standing for extended periods, lifting heavy parts or components, and working in varying temperatures.
• Adherence to all safety protocols is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?23,000.00 per month
