  • The candidate will be part of Asia Cash Operations. As Vice President, the candidate will be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations, including transaction processing - payments and receivable, ecommerce payments. The candidate will be leading a 35 member team who provide payments & clearing services encompassing multiple markets across APAC.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage overall KPI\'s and KRI\'s of the processes.
  • Responsible for overall management and oversight of the assigned branches
  • Responsible for team performance; training and feedback
  • Exhibits full knowledge and thorough understanding of the entire Cash Operations functions across multiple locations.
  • Perform Operations impact analysis and assessment on new business initiatives, including capacity consideration, operating model, regulatory obligations, and control processes.
  • Ensure sufficient internal controls and procedures to minimize risk - able to drive the risks and controls agenda including working with local operations managers on external and internal audits/regulatory reviews/inspections
  • Manage communication of status updates to stakeholders and Senior Management through scorecards and tracking of milestones and critical path.
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and applications, and their implications for assigned area.
  • Recognize and drive regional improvement opportunities arising from local/global situations.
  • Ensure all operation procedures are in compliance with industry and legal regulatory rules and guidelines both locally and globally.
  • Implement and maintain robust controls and procedures to mitigate operational risks
  • Build exceptional relationship with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure implementation of best practices across the assigned branches
  • Execute regional projects across the branches in Asia.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tech, Relationship Manager, Treasury for efficiency and effectiveness in day to day operations
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
  • University/Masters Degree with at least 10 years Treasury Services business and Operations experience with good understanding in Payments services. Prior experience working in these fields are preferred.
  • Full understanding of Treasury Services business, operations and technology strategy
  • Working knowledge of various aspects of International Payment Processing Operations.
  • Working/Expert Knowledge of SWIFT / ISO & international payment conventions & practices is a must.
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability to deliver business goals - execution to achieve specific desired results.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to motivate and build a cohesive team for achieving local, regional and global goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and promptly initiate action and escalate potential risks to minimize loss.
  • Strong commitment to providing high standards of quality client service & Commitment to excellence and accuracy, with an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability in maintaining standards and adjusting effectively to operate within new work structures, processes, or requirements.
  • Effective time management skills to meet strict deadlines and team objectives.
  • Ability to effectively address and manage conflict.
  • Ability to communicate pro-actively and openly with internal and external business partners - to executive level.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to implement and manage change across direct units as well as remote units.
  • Strong Risks and Controls mindset. Proven track record in handling audits and regulatory requirements
  • Strong team player and be able to work with functional partners/stakeholders to deliver results.
