Job Description

The Content Writer is responsible for curating, writing and editing original content for the Ashvitaxe2x80x99s brand. The focus of the content writer will be to create a bank of authenticated writing around the Madras Art History story, highlighting artist biographies, key movements and ideas, and exploring themes, symbols and histories relevant to that period. The content writer will create an archive of such content which can be utilized for the Ashvitaxe2x80x99s website and other marketing material via newsletters, social media etc. The Content Writer will also be responsible for shaping content for Ashvitaxe2x80x99s exhibitions, including artists statements, catalogue texts etc.This is a full-time opportunity based in Chennai.Click to read more on Ashvita's Fine Art and Collectibles.Please note:1. • A Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Journalism, Media and Communication, Marketing or related fields

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Familiarity with managing a communications calendar, and using advertising platforms, social media marketing tools and mass mailing software like Mailchimp, Hootsuite and Canva is ideal

• Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello and Slack is a plus

• Knowledge of Wordpress, Wix is ideal

Essential Experience:

• 2-3 years experience working in a content marketing or communications role

• Experience in content writing and managing a communications calendar is a plus

• Prior experience in working for a structured company or organisation, preferably in the arts and culture sector

Key Personal Attributes & Skills:

• Good communicator, can work with a diverse range of people and personalities

• Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Ability to manage diverse internal/external stakeholders and coordinate delivery

• Ability to produce clear, coherent creative briefs, project reports, and coordinate multiple projects

• Strong attention to detail and good observation skills
