Job Description

Plan and deliver art and craft lessons for students across various grades. Teach a variety of art techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and mixed media. Introduce students to different art forms, materials, and artists from around the world. Develop lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and learning objectives. Organize art exhibitions, competitions, and special projects to showcase student work. Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom environment. Encourage creativity, self-expression, and individual style among students. Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress. Collaborate with other teachers and staff on interdisciplinary projects and school events. Manage art supplies and inventory responsibly.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (B.Ed. preferred). Prior experience in teaching art and craft to children (school setting preferred). Strong artistic skills across various media and techniques. Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Passion for education and child development. Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs and interests of diverse learners.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with digital art tools and visual storytelling. Knowledge of art history and multicultural art traditions. Certification in art education or related workshops.
