Area Sales Officer (FMCG)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Area Sales Officer to manage sales operations in an assigned region and drive business growth for our FMCG products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, distributor management, and market development, with a focus on meeting sales targets and building long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Management: Drive primary and secondary sales in the assigned territory to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Distributor Management: Appoint, develop, and manage relationships with distributors and stockists to ensure product availability and market penetration.
• Market Development: Identify and explore new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and enhance brand visibility in the region.
• Promotions & Marketing: Implement and oversee promotional activities to increase product awareness and sales in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to stay ahead of market shifts and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Customer Relationship: Build strong, long-term relationships with key customers, resolving issues and providing excellent customer service.
• Reporting: Regularly track sales performance, report on market trends, and provide feedback to management for strategic decision-making.
Key Requirements (Education, Work Experience & Skills):
• Bachelor's degree (preferred in Business, Marketing, or a related field).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales or FMCG with a focus on area management.
• Strong knowledge of sales processes , distributor management , and territory development .
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets .
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and customers.
• Fluency in English , Hindi , and the local language is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
