To drive the overall sales and business in the allotted territory with focus on managing existing customers, developing new ones (direct/distributors/dealers) in the territory in order to achieve forecasted sales projections in line with overall targets set by ADM. Products will range between poultry concentrates, feed additives and premixes and other ADM ranges as and when introduced. The job requires extensive travel and field work to ensure business conversion and customer retention.
The profile requires a strong sales experience and domain knowledge, technical and well as commercial with good understanding of poultry specie segment (breeders, broiler, layer) and products. A strong dealer/distributor/customer connect - b2b and b2c with good understanding of local markets and trends, competitive product lines, presence and activities.
The role should be located in Anand (Gujarat)

  • Propose annual sale budget in line with the company\'s overall targets and get validation from senior management.
  • Achieve annual sales target and monitor and ensure achievement of these overall sales plans and strategies.
  • Maintain of sales register customer wise, distributor wise to keep a track of business and our overall share in the respective territories.
  • Manage and develop key customer accounts, dealers/distributors in assigned territory to ensure achievement of annual sales targets.
  • To provide sales and technical support to key accounts/dealers/distributors and monitor the overall effectiveness of these trainings in customer understanding of products and generating sales.
  • Provide timely product feedback to technical manager, assist the technical team in customer visits and to conduct trainings/seminars wherever applicable.
  • To align with and assist marketing manager on product pricing and brand building/promotional activities.
  • Plan in advance monthly travel itinerary and to seek validation from reporting manager. Timely submission of report for review every month.
  • Prepare sales reports and conduct meeting with reporting manager for monthly/quarterly/annual sales review.
  • To coordinate with supporting functions- sales coordinators, execution, accounts, operations, wherever applicable in line with day to day sales activities and to ensure availability of adequate stocks for executing sales in line with projections.
  • Arrange and facilitate new customer/dealer/distributor creation/credit limits/distributor agreement with all required documents, get necessary approvals for creation of code and start for business.
  • Follow up on timely payments with customers as contracted
  • Timely resolution of customer/dealer/distributor disputes and ensures adherence of business terms, assists in resolution of credit problems and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain competitive prices and a good understanding of product ranges in the respective territory. Timely communication of their activities and feedback to the reporting manager to help in making informed decisions around business activities
  • Cross coordination and timely providing information required by other departments- operations, execution, finance, legal, compliance in line with the business.
Your Profile
  • A postgraduate qualification preferably BVSC & AH and nutrition, MBA an added advantage with strong sales experience in the poultry nutrition, esp in sales of poultry feed/concentrates with at least 7 years of experience in this field.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in sale of poultry feed nutritional and supplement products.
  • You feel comfortable in a dynamic, international environment and are open to change.
  • You are a committed and customer-oriented team player for whom a proactive, goal-oriented way of working is a matter of course.
  • You are self-motivated, street smart with a stong business mindset.
  • You are open to extensive travelling.
  • You are proficiency in local language and English
