We are looking for people who want to improve outcomes for healthcare professionals and their patients.We are recruiting for an experienced Area Sales Manager based in Hyderabad, India to join our Sales team. This role will Identify and maximize sales opportunities (both new and existing) to achieve agreed sales targets, to grow the business in accordance to business strategy.Purpose of the position:This role will define, develop, and execute sales plans for the assigned territory/accounts, BA area, and product portfolio to drive revenue and profit growth. The individual will lead end-to-end business development activities, from identifying opportunities and formulating sales plans to executing sales and clinical activities at target hospitals. Key responsibilities include generating demand, securing purchase orders, managing, and appointing distributors, and ensuring efficient delivery.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Profile and analyze key accounts to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Create and implement strategic and tactical plans for both short-term and long-term growth from targeted accounts.
  • Introduce the portfolio to key stakeholders, leveraging a clinical selling approach to educate and drive engagement.
  • Negotiate long-term rate contracts to maximize market share, revenue, and profitability.
  • Develop and optimize sales channels and distribution networks to ensure timely delivery and service.
  • Manage and coordinate the processing of delivery orders from customers and distributors.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and customers.
  • Build and nurture key opinion leaders through continuous marketing, educational, and clinical engagements.
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales projections, ensuring optimal stock planning.
  • Monitor competitor activities and assess market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and support.
Key Decisions:
  • Negotiating long term rate contracts, maximizing share of wallet and profitability.
  • Setting up the desired sales channel/ distribution for timely delivering and service to the account.
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales projections and stock requirements.
  • Manages and coordinates delivery orders processing from customers/ distributors.
Capabilities; Qualifications and Experience
  • 10-15 years med tech/devices/Pharma/Life Sciences commercial/ marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in sciences and /or business administration.
  • Master's degree in management
  • Strong understanding of medical devices/ healthcare industry in India. Worked with leading key accounts/ hospital across India.
  • Must have experience of using CRM tools
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining work priorities
  • Strong presentation & effective communication skills
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to drive change and proven planning skills
