About the department : Novo Nordisk is a Denmark based multinational with leadership in diabetes. Novo Nordisk India affiliate office has more than 1300 people working across the country in various functions. The Area Sales Manager will be accountable for a specific region and report to the Regional Manager. The Position As an Area Sales Manager - Mumbai, you will be identifying and addressing business opportunities and challenges in the territory. Anchor account planning, targeting, customer profiling & customer engagement.
You will be responsible for analysing market trends, capture competitor information, and use experience to forecast business and sales plans.
You should have knowledge of key industry business drivers, emerging medical trends, and performance metrics and ability to leverage that knowledge to inform strategy.
Develop and retain a high performing business unit and engage employees within the team on personal responsibility by communicating and clarifying the business strategy, to enable integration of all business activity.
You will build a strong advocacy of Novo Nordisks portfolio with key external stakeholders through on-going/robust scientific interactions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Also ensure compliance with all relevant State and country statutory requirements.
Qualifications
You hold a full-time Bachelors degree in B-Pharma / Science and Masters in Business Administration (preferred), from a reputed institution
You should have minimum 8 years of industry work experience with at least 3 years in Fist Line Manager role.
Sales achievement criteria - 100% sales achievement at least 1 year in 4 years (YTD2022,2021,2020 & 2019) & 90% or above Sales achievement in minimum 2 years.
Should be open to relocation - PAN India as per organisation plan.
Good in communication and negotiation skill and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Should possess strong business understanding and analytical skills
A strong track record in thorough planning, execution and follow-up is required, with a creative and innovative attitude that will enable you to drive initiatives with operational excellence in mind
