Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager with previous experience in the FMCG industry to oversee sales operations and drive revenue growth in assigned territories. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in setting and achieving targets, leading a sales team, and maximizing market potential. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for assigned territories, product categories, or channels.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team targets, drive performance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Set clear sales targets, quotas, and KPIs for each member of the sales team and provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to help them achieve their goals.
Identify and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and market segments to focus sales efforts and maximize return on investment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts, to drive product distribution and maximize sales opportunities.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and market expansion.
Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales forecasts, pipeline status, and market trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, and finance to develop integrated sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and pricing initiatives.
Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to anticipate challenges and capitalize on opportunities for business growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
years of progressive experience in sales or sales management roles in the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
