Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager for Aqua Feeds is responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities within a designated geographic area. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets. The Area Sales Manager will work closely with the marketing and technical teams to promote and sell aqua feed products to farmers, distributors, and other stakeholders in the aquaculture industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in the assigned area.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers to enhance their understanding of aqua feed products.
• Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
• Market Development:
• Identify and develop new market opportunities to increase sales.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences.
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to promote aqua feed products.
• Sales Operations:
• Monitor sales performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the management team.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Team Management:
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives (if applicable).
• Provide training and guidance to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the technical team to address customer inquiries and provide technical solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Business Administration, or any degree with experience in field.
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the aquaculture or animal feed industry.
• Strong understanding of aquaculture practices and aqua feed products.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office applications.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
