: As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales operations in a designated area. Your primary objective will be to achieve sales targets, drive market penetration, and build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders. This is a critical role that requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives and maximize sales growth within the assigned area.
• Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and other channel partners to drive product visibility and availability.
• Conduct regular market visits to gather insights, provide on-the-ground support, and address any sales-related issues or challenges.
• Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management, offering recommendations for improvement.
• Train and develop the sales team by providing coaching, guidance, and support to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets in a competitive market.
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
