We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in Eastern India.Position Overview: As the Area Sales Manager for Eastern India, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding market presence for the Fresh Earth brand in the region. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a team of sales professionals, and fostering strong relationships with distributors and retailers.Location: Eastern India (Preference for candidates based in Kolkata or nearby cities)Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share for Fresh Earth products in Eastern India.
Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to deliver exceptional results, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding distribution networks, securing new accounts, and launching new products.
Cultivate strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional buyers to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product innovation, differentiation, and market expansion.
Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and provide insights to management on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure the effective execution of sales strategies, promotional activities, and product launches.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, including pricing, credit terms, and trade promotions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a focus on pulses, rice, dry fruits, or similar food products.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the Eastern India market.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
Knowledge of the FMCG industry, market dynamics, and distribution channels in Eastern India.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and sales management software.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
