Area Sales Manager - AR (Karnataka)Location:Gurgaon, IndiaJob Category:SalesPOSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for business development and performance of all sales activities for the Automotive market in Karnataka Region. He shall promote the company\'s products & shall be a representative of the company in the assigned region.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.\xef\xbf\xbd Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.\xef\xbf\xbd Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and territory wise, distributor wise sales plan. Inputs and recommendations for strategic plan and policies\xef\xbf\xbd Reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.\xef\xbf\xbd Maintains and expands customer base by counselling field sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.\xef\xbf\xbd Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.\xef\xbf\xbd Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.\xef\xbf\xbd Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.\xef\xbf\xbd Outstanding receivables; Motivating regional / area executives\xef\xbf\xbd Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.\xef\xbf\xbd Specialization in auto components marketing in the aftermarket; like distributors, retailers, fleet owners,Mechanics, STUs etc.\xef\xbf\xbd Well conversant with geography by end markets in the North zone especially in Uttar Pradesh/ Uttrakhand region.\xef\xbf\xbd Creativity and innovative skills, out of box thinking to generate big ideas SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent has MSR\'S reporting to him & reports to General Manager- AR Sales and support him in all day-to-day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • BE / BTech or Graduation with Similar Industry experience
  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in sales management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Ability to provide concurrent oversight to multiple resources and projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
REQUIRED SKILLS:1. Proven skills in Sales Planning, Meeting Sales Goals, Territory Management & Managing Profitability2. Leader in customer service - professional approach to internal/ external clients3. Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skills4. Excellent business ethics and integrity5. Strong team player, proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.6. Self-directed and motivated with insight and ideas to motivate sales teams7. Strong Communication skills including Presentation & Negotiation skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Fair amount (approx. 60 ~ 80%) of domestic travel with the North zone is required.
