Job Description


- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets in the assigned territory.- Identify and expand the customer base, including retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers (B2B).- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to optimize sales.- Strengthen relationships with channel partners to ensure consistent sales growth.- Ensure proper supply chain management and timely delivery of agri-inputs.- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agri-retailers, and institutional clients.- Drive revenue growth while maintaining profitability margins.- Ensure proper pricing strategies and negotiation with B2B clients and retailers.- Track outstanding payments and support the finance team in collections.- Conduct training sessions for retailers and sales staff on new products.- Monitor and evaluate team performance through KPIs and sales reports.- Maintain sales reports, forecasts, and competitor analysis.- Ensure adherence to company policies and government regulations related to agri-inputs.- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional targets.- Identify new business opportunities and expand the retailer network.- Drive sales of agri inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and agrochemicals) through B2B channels.- Ensure product placement and visibility at retail points.- Onboard, train, and manage retailers and distributors in the assigned territory.- Strengthen relationships with existing retailers and onboard new partners.- Ensure timely order placement, delivery, and stock availability.- Monitor retailer sales performance and suggest improvements.- Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.- Ensure high sales conversion rates by offering value-based solutions to retailers.- Promote new product launches and educate retailers on product benefits.- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure smooth product availability.- Maintain and share daily/weekly sales reports and progress updates.- Ensure proper credit management and timely payment collections.- Minimize outstanding payments and ensure compliance with company policies.- Educational Background:- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Management, or a related field.- MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing (preferred).- Experience:- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the agri-input sector (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, farm equipment).- Experience in managing dealer/retailer networks and field sales teams.
