Office Location: 2232-Jodhpur Position description: Area Credit ManagerMSME Primary Responsibilities:
  • Business Implement Credit policies and processes for Unsecured Loans in the field Implement new policies amendments and technology changes through proper communication training Review and suggest policy and process changes based on the field understanding feedback from the field team Monitor and ensure Credit related Regulatory and Legal compliances are followed thoroughly by the key role holders in field Ensure that area surveys cross checks negative area reviews are done timely along with Audit and Vigilance team Ensure the portfolio quality in excellent category through induction of good quality customers in GL and IL at the field level Effectively monitor external risk by keeping a tab on field issues and customer dynamics Identify highlight and address emerging risks proactively along with the risk and compliance departments Ensure strict actions taken as per the Penalty Matrix for the field deviations Ensure the key MISs and reports are effectively used for managing team and risk in the field Conduct Periodic review of Portfolio Quality and Collection to take necessary actions Conduct periodic reviews with Cluster Credit Managers for driving desirable credit performance Prepare and monitor action plans for Poor and High Risk branches in GL and IL Be updated about the competition in the field and update the management on regular basis Monitor credit staff expenses across and ensure the same within the budget Engage with agencies to drive collection FCU and other activities Ensure that Distribution and Credit team are trained on the policy or process changes Monitor Portfolio Quality of Unsecured loans GL and IL for the assigned clusters Strong orientation and understanding of the Data to take decisions and actions Engage with Risk committee to monitor credit risk and ensure Risk is managed proactively Involve in IDM Risk Committee meetings Audit closure meeting Work closely with Collection team to manage collections in different buckets at the field Prepare action plan for high risk poor scoring branches along with Distribution team Visit overdue cases high ticket size customers and rare occupations to understand the field Coordinate with other departments for effective resource utilization and conflict management Escalate Field issues and ensure actions are taken as per Penalty Matrix Supervise Cluster Credit Mangers of GL and Unsecured IL Prepare staffing budget ensure timely hiring and build strong Credit team in the field Ensure proper induction of staff and ensure staff attrition is within the defined limit Conduct Staff Meetings and Represent Credit in staff representative meetings Audit Closure meeting Be aware of the market trends and activities of Competition to adopt best practices Customer Work with Area Managers and Distribution Managers for effective implementation of Credit Policies and team management Work with DM Audit Manager Collection Manager and Risk Manager for effective risk management Engage with Regional Product Manager for necessary changes in products as per the observations from the field Engage with Recruitment Manager for timely recruitment and induction of new employees Engage branch supervisors to understand the customer and field staff requirements while framing the policies and processes Ensure that credit responds to Customers and branch staff queries and issues timely Coordinate with DM Collections Manager and Vigilance Manager for effective collections management Engage with HR to ensure all staffing and training requirements are met in a timely manner Internal process Ensure adherence to all Regulatory Norms Internal Policy Process with respect to Credit Collections Ensure High TAT applications are addressed immediately Provide timely compliances to internal and external audit reports Present major findings to Risk Committee on HighRisk branches IDM Issues and RFMC on monthly basis in coordination with Audit and Vigilance Implement Penalty matrix to address policyprocess violations Ensure timely escalation of critical cases to Credit Head and obtain appropriate deviation approvals Ensure timely accurate submission of daily weekly monthly reports Learning Performance Engage with HR to execute all training programs on Credit Policies and Processes Ensure structured induction plan for new joinees lateral hires and internally promoted candidates Responsible for on time hiring of the right people for the assigned hubs Ensure goalsetting midyear review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for self and reportees Ensure adherence to training mandays mandatory training programs for self and reportees Monitor performance of direct and skip level reportees against defined goalsmetrics and take corrective action wherever required Represent the organizationfunction in various conferences summits and external platforms Stay updated with the industry practices and lending landscape by interacting with representatives of different organizations consultants etc Ensure overall staff satisfaction as per Great Place to Work Survey Ensure staff attrition within defined limits at regional level Attend MFIN or other meetings in the area to develop better understanding of the best practices in the fieldindustry Ensure necessary feedback is given to team on regular basis Pursue Relevant Courses to the team and for the self and Groom team members for cross learning and provide growth opportunities Visit Field regularly with Subordinates to keep abreast of area related issues Underwriting performances Performance of Competitors and any staff related issues which may pose a risk to portfolio
