Job Role and Responsibilities:
• Assisting in Design and Planning:
• Collaborate with senior architects on conceptual and detailed design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, layouts, blueprints, and models (both physical and digital).
• Use design software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino to create and revise architectural plans.
• Project Documentation:
• Help in drafting and organizing project documents, such as design plans, reports, and schedules.
• Contribute to preparing presentations and project reports for clients or team meetings.
• Document design changes and keep project files up to date.
• Site Visits and Inspections:
• Accompany architects or engineers on site visits to observe construction progress, ensuring design plans are being followed.
• Participate in site analysis, including measuring and documenting site conditions for new designs.
• Assist in compiling reports and photographs during site visits for documentation.
• Research and Development:
• Conduct research on building materials, design trends, regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Assist in developing solutions to architectural problems, such as cost-effective designs or energy-efficient structures.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Coordinate with different stakeholders, such as engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Attend project meetings and take minutes, providing input where relevant.
• Communicate with vendors or manufacturers regarding materials and specifications.
• Model Making and Rendering:
• Build physical models of designs or assist in creating 3D digital models for presentations.
• Use rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape) to produce high-quality visualizations.
• Learning and Adapting:
• Stay updated on local building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability certifications.
• Continuously improve technical and design skills under the mentorship of senior architects.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Proficiency in architecture-related software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
• Strong understanding of architectural concepts, drafting, and spatial design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow design instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
