The Team
The Enterprise Solutions business within S&P Global Market intelligence provides buy-side, sell-side, and corporate clients with industry-leading software, data and services. The business portfolio offers a broad range of product offerings covering enterprise data management, investment management, loans platforms, regulatory and compliance solutions, and private markets solutions.
The Enterprise Solutions Technology function is accountable for delivering technology solutions for the Enterprise Solutions products, in partnership with the product, commercial and wider divisional functions. The Enterprise Solutions Technology function comprises of the Business Segment / Product aligned delivery functions, Architecture & Design, Technology & Infrastructure Services, Engineering Enablement Services & Industrialization, Data Science & Data Engineering and Project Management Office.
The Impact
We are looking for Architect to join the Architecture function in the Enterprise Solutions Technology. The Architect is regarded as the Subject Matter Expert on technology platform/packages and brings in-depth development, design and architecture expertise to lend support to the delivery of complex solutions. The Architect will contribute to the strategy for the technology and products aligning with business objectives and is considered as a thought leader by the client and the company for the product & technology. Senior Architect will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors, to develop a comprehensive architectural framework that supports the organization's long-term objectives.
Responsibilities
Define long-term enterprise architecture blueprint, and strategy to support business growth for next 3-5yrs and help to plan for readiness of systems across functions.
Developing and maintaining the architecture to create an overview of the current and future state of the organisation's IT systems in alignment with business objectives. Use architecture techniques, focusing on business outcomes, in conjunction with respective business stakeholders and technology delivery leads, to translate strategic business and technological goals.
Preparing future technology needs by studying industry and technology trends to find areas for improvement and new technology that may benefit the organisation.
Studying existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, such as lowering costs or increasing efficiency.
Communicating with IT and management teams to ensure that the IT systems meet their needs
Ensure that the architecture of products and platforms are resilient, scalable, providing innovative and progressive products and services.
Partner with the Business lines to ensure their client and customer strategies are successfully achieved.
Contribute to the Architecture governance stream to ensure adherence to architectural principles and standards
Partner and collaborate with Delivery Leads, Infrastructure Architects and Engineering Managers to co-ordinate technology strategy and continuously look at invest/maintain/divest/cease landscape for technology.
Evaluate the potential risks associated with architectural decisions and propose mitigation strategies to ensure system stability, security, and compliance.
Mentor senior technical leads, architects and product managers to drive speed of delivery.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience with atleast 2+ years of experience in Architecture
Exposure to complex, distributed technologies, application servers, Messaging, Data transformation, ETL, Monitoring tools
Experience of architecting and implementing Cloud ready solutions, DevOps patterns.
Ability to understand strategic, functional, and technical aspects of technology.
Ability to quickly understand tech implications and ways in which tech can impact business
Excellent communication and people management skills
Ability to manage senior business stakeholders and internal technical team.
Ability to understand implications of technology decisions holistically - business, implications on other solutions, security, performance, migration, customer experience etc.
Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, TOGAF is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in Financial domain is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in either Java EE or .NET
Working knowledge of AWS Cloud.
Intermediate knowledge of a RDBMS system ( Oracle/Postgres )
Deep diagnosis skills & experience working with legacy code. Experience working with legacy code. Good knowledge of refactoring techniques is an added advantage.
Performance Engineering - Can explain performance and capacity planning concepts and processes, Ability to performance tune applications using various runtime tools provided for Technology Stack stack.
