Job Overview



The Interior Designer creates functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces by selecting materials, furnishings, and color schemes. They collaborate with architects, clients, and occasionally site engineers to ensure interior designs enhance the building's overall purpose and structure.

Key Responsibilities



Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and renderings using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite. Select furniture, lighting, finishes, and color palettes based on client needs and project objectives. Coordinate with civil architects to ensure interior designs align with the building's structural and aesthetic framework. Work with contractors and site engineers to oversee the installation of interior elements, ensuring quality and accuracy. Prepare budgets, material specifications, and project schedules for interior components. Conduct site visits to monitor installations, inspect quality, and resolve issues. Present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback to finalize plans.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Certification (e.g., NCIDQ in the U.S.) preferred for professional credibility. 2-5 years of experience in interior design or related projects. Strong portfolio showcasing design work.
