Identifies qualified candidates by co-ordinating resume processes, preparing interview forms and conducting reference checks

\xc2\xa7 Respond to incoming resumes as appropriate

\xc2\xa7 Provides HR Consultants and/or Hotels with resumes which meet the position requirements

\xc2\xa7 Conducts screening interviews

Provides administrative support for recruitment process

\xc2\xa7 Co-ordinates candidate interview schedules

\xc2\xa7 Updates candidates on status of selection process

\xc2\xa7 Drafts offer letters

Handles the recruitment process for assigned non-exempt positions from beginning to end

\xc2\xa7 Screens and refers candidates

\xc2\xa7 Offers position to selected candidates

Prepares and maintains current recruitment status reports

\xc2\xa7 Maintains current statistics on open and filled positions

\xc2\xa7 Tracks and summarises recruitment costs as necessary

Workers Compensation and Workplace, Safety & Health

\xc2\xa7 Assists in the co-ordination of responses to EEO complaints, WS&H, Union Relations and grievances by researching situations and gathering information as requested

\xc2\xa7 Maintains record keeping requirements of Workers\xe2\x80\x99 Compensation as directed and provides necessary follow-up

\xc2\xa7 Ensures Return to Work programs are implemented and that all Workers Compensation cases are reported to Human Resources Manager

\xc2\xa7 Assists Department Heads in handling employee situations by counselling them in preparing of appropriate verbal and written communication to employee

\xc2\xa7 Assists the Human Resources Manager in ensuring the quality and consistency of performance appraisals by reviewing appraisals and counselling Supervisors on appraisals which do not conform to Brand\xe2\x80\x99s standards

\xc2\xa7 Fosters positive attitude to Hotel and work environment by assisting the Human Resources Manager in planning and co-ordinating employee orientation, conducting training sessions and other ongoing programs

\xc2\xa7 Handles transfer or reclassification requests

\xc2\xa7 Utilises leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction

\xc2\xa7 Assists in the co-ordination of wage and performance review activities of the Hotel to ensure compliance with the law and control costs

\xc2\xa7 Informs employees of benefits, Hotel policies etc

\xc2\xa7 Conducts training sessions as requested

\xc2\xa7 Administers special employee promotions

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork

\xc2\xa7 Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service

\xc2\xa7 Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems

\xc2\xa7 Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis

\xc2\xa7 Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction

\xc2\xa7 Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

Adheres to hotel policies and procedures:
\xc2\xa7 Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees

\xc2\xa7 Keeps immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance

\xc2\xa7 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objective of this position

\xc2\xa7 Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment

\xc2\xa7 At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public
