Geometric Modeling Developer Apprentice



The Geometric Modelling R&D Department provides DASSAULT SYSTEMS group applications (CATIA, SolidWorks, SIMULIA, DELMIA ...) with mathematical and geometric libraries that cover all aspects of 3D object design and numerical simulation. Within this department, you will join the team responsible for Continuous / Exact shape representation & modification that implements innovative algorithms for design simulation, & manufacturing applications. Your mission will be to specify, develop and maintain the 3D modelling operators and support their integration by the application teams across different Brands of Dassault Systemes.


Role Description and Responsibilities:


• You will work in a multi-cultural team that is passionate about Geometric Modelling domain and Innovation.


• Your mission will be to specify, develop and maintain the Geometric Modelling operators that will be used by developers of CATIA, SolidWorks, SIMULIA, DELMIA ... while ensuring the continuity of their reliability.


• You will identify practical solutions to problems involving 2D and 3D Geometry using knowledge of Computational Geometry, Differential Geometry, Numerical analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, while taking into account latest State of Art on the subject.
Qualifications:


• Masters or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics & Computing, Scientific Computing, CAD/CAM/CAE.
• Strong knowledge of Computational Geometry, Differential Geometry, Numerical analysis.
• Strong aptitude in Geometry.


• Experience in Fortran/C/C++ programming.


• Experience in using CAD/CAM/CAE software's.


• Strong analytical & problem solving mind.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work as a team, collaborate with other local/remote teams.


• Knowledge of OOPs, Data Structures, Algorithms will be added advantage.


• Experience in AI/ML applied to problems involving 3D data (CAD, Point cloud, Mesh...) is a bonus.
