Job Description

As a member of the Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) development team that builds and supports the banking and universal billing streams, you will design and develop new application features, improve our existing functionality and user experiences, and help resolve defects.


ORMB is used by corporate and retail banks, stock exchanges, asset and securities managers and many others to manage the products and the pricing they offer, charge their customers and manage outstanding receivables. Our customers are household names and leaders in their industries.

The ORMB banking and universal billing development team is looking for experienced developers who can take responsibility for delivering feature designs and code components that follow our UI and technical design standards and coding standards.


You will work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business goals and create solutions that deliver business value to our customers.


While you will work as part of a supportive team, you will also need to be able to take ownership and accountability for independently solving complex problems.


What we are looking for:


• Hands on experience of Core Java and SQL and UI technologies (5+ years)
• Detailed understanding of JavaScript / ECMAScript/ Html5 / JQuery / Ajax and UI based application frameworks (preferably OJET or KnockoutJS).
• Excellent understanding of core design patterns used in Java / J2ee applications
• Good understanding of Hibernate, JSP and Servlets, XML, XPATH, SOAP and REST Web Services
• Good knowledge of Oracle SQL
• Strong functional and technical design and design documentation skills
• Experience working with UI design systems and component library
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills and the ability to create unit test cases

Ideally you would also have:


• Experience with Oracle Utility and Application Framework (OUAF)
• Knowledge of Agile based Software Development cycle
• Exposure to software implementation projects
• Exposure to Cloud Native development using Docker, Kubernetes
• Worked on applications using WebLogic application server
• Experience in developing SaaS applications
• Experience in developing microservices based applications
• Exposure to AI/ML
• Experience in writing optimized code and Junits
• Experience in supporting business critical applications

Experience with pricing/billing/accounting systems and/or experience in any area of the banking industry will be highly regarded.
