Job Summary

You\'ll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. The EPX team provides a world class set of tools to enable the 40K technical employees of JP Morgan to deliver industry leading technical solutions to their customers. As an experienced member of our Production Management team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving technical problems through caring client interactions, technical expertise, sound engineering practices and a desire for continuous improvement. You\'ll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software life-cycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Job responsibilities

  • Provide support and maintenance for the company\'s DevOps Infrastructure and tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Plan & Create, Continuous integration, Continuous delivery, and Deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth software releases and deployments.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure proper configuration management and version control practices.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and automation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of applied experience. A technical support, development or infrastructure background
  • Experience with technical support of applications or platforms and well versed in the software development life-cycle
  • Expertise in a development language such as Java or Python or a scripting language KSH and Strong understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, etc.
  • Experience of Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Test Driven Development etc)
  • Strong experience in a DevOps or support role, working with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Support knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Experience with UNIX/LINUX
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java Script, Bash, Python, or PowerShell. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Experience with micro-services
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Data mining and querying against databases. Experience and comfortable working in a high paced dynamic environment
