Reporting to the Manager, Application Security, the Application Security Architect is responsible for facilitating the design, development, engineering, implementation and maintenance of the security initiatives as part of our larger security program across all technology and business development groups. This is a hands on position that requires someone who has a great deal of systems engineering, networking, application development and hands-on coding experience together with a very deep understanding of information security and secure coding principles
What you will be doing:• Developing and implementing comprehensive application security strategies to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Designing and architecting software solutions, considering security requirements and industry best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conducting thorough security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into software development processes and ensuring adherence to security policies.
• Staying up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and providing guidance on security trends and best practices.
• Defining and enforcing security standards, guidelines and procedures to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
• Leading security reviews and audits of applications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing remediation measures.
• Providing expertise and guidance on encryption, authentication, access control, and other security mechanisms to protect applications from unauthorized access.
• Developing and delivering security training and awareness programs fore development teams to promote a culture of security consciousness.
• Acting as a subject matter expert on application security, providing consultation and guidance to stakeholders on security-related matters.


Requirements:• A minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience designing business processes, process mapping, working on process improvement initiatives, and business applications security design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.
• Significant hands-on experience with Web, Java, JavaScript or .Net frameworks and their architectures.
• Extensive experience testing and debugging business applications and processes on Linux and Windows systems.
• Design experience with n-tier architectures (Data Access, Business Logic, and UI).
• Transactional database, NoSQL (MonogoDB) and SQL experience (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL).
• Broad knowledge of Enterprise Software Engineering.
• Broad knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure concepts and best practices.
• SOA architecture, REST, and web services experience.
• API implementation and security controls.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and a container and micro-services architecture.
• A working knowledge of Identity management tools and SAML integrations.
• A working knowledge of Encryption and PKI solutions.
• Experience with software framework design skills with foundational, private, and public APIs.
