Applications Manager

This very interesting position located in Bangalore and reports to National Application Manager.

The primary responsibility of this position is to take care of customer needs having high-end systems including laser scanning confocal systems, multi-photon systems, super-resolution (STED) systems, automated imaging systems involving motorized and computer-controlled components, etc. supplied by Leica Microsystems across India. Apart from providing application support and training to the existing users, pre-sales demonstrations and product presentations to the prospective buyers will also be a major role of the person selected for this position. Therefore, excellent presentation skill and in depth of these kind of systems / products will be required for the applicant.

The post will add valuable resource to the existing team of product and application personnel to minimize the support time to customer/ user.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide scientific support to existing & prospective customers and help them on protocols to support in their scientific goals.
• The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting customer needs, training and demonstrations of Confocal, multi-photon, super-resolution systems.
• Be experienced and comfortable in working inside dark microscopy rooms for long hours.
• Be experienced and comfortable in giving product and application presentations.
• Provide Application support to Sales Team in product demonstrations as per given slots.
• Supply information of customer feedback, demo feedback, trends and developments.
• Act as problem solver for customer/application problems as well as interface to technical service.
• Represent company, provide support in terms of planning, arrangement of demo systems, lectures and trainings in workshops.
• Participate in congresses and meetings as necessary in order to demonstrate applications on our existing and new products to customers.

Our Expectations

• MSc / MTech/ PhD or higher in Cell Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biophysics or related discipline or equivalent is nice to have.
• Equal value with a strong application support experience in a relevant industry or institutes.
• Strong technical knowledge and at least one-year hands on experience with high-end systems like Confocal Microscopy, Multiphoton and Super resolution is desired.
• Proven record of successful user or application specialist in similar products.
• Strong communications \xe2\x80\x93 good business acumen with outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good system demonstrator and trainer for coordinating workshops and trainings.
• Good scientific application knowledge.
• Ability to work on his/her own and also should be a great temperament for Teamwork.
• Tactical and Strategic and Customer Focused.
• With mindset of Continuous Improvement.
