Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work with international APT (Applied Product Technologies / Treatment Systems) segment and design engineering teams to clearly identify and interpret technical specifications on customer needs and assist in development of accurate and cost-effective technical proposals.
• Prepare engineering conceptual designs, Water Balance diagram, PIDs, PFDs and Water system layout.
• Designing of water treatments systems, Preparation of Process and Equipment sizing calculation.
• Develop technical proposals, including process descriptions, scope of work, equipment list, performance guarantees, clarifications and exceptions to the specifications, and system pricing.
• Prepare and send RFQs to local and international vendors / suppliers for detailed cost estimation on proposals.
• Present proposed solutions to other international teams and proposal handovers to project engineering teams, including preparation of presentation materials.
• Support and clarify project team and product managers on process engineering calculations, equipment sizing and other relevant calculations.

Academic and Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering from reputed institute.
• Minimum 6-9 years related experience in the process design/sizing, proposal and costing of medium to large-sized Water Treatment facilities.
• Knowledge in Autodesk 2D/3D design tools will be a plus or wiling to learn. Familiarity with RO Projections required.
• Sizing of Filters (PSF, ACF, MGF, DMF, MCF, ASCF), Softeners, UF systems, RO Systems, CIP systems, Chemical dosing systems, Ion Exchange units (SAC, SBA, MB), CPU and tanks.
• Knowledge on UV and EDI systems.
• Conversant in Pipe sizing and friction loss calculations.
• Knowledge on MOC selections.
• Experience on package type high purity water system (added advantage).
• Knowledge on preparation of Operation and control philosophy documents.
• Capable of supporting multiple projects at a time and meet project schedules.
• Experience in developing/understanding of process flow diagram and Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID's), plant layout drawings, civil/equipment 2D/3D drawings.
• Knowledge of selection on all types of electromechanical equipment, instruments, and process control requirement.
• Positive team and client-focused attitude directed towards delivering quality work on time and within budget.
• Exposure to MS Office package for preparing necessary documents, excel files and PPT's will be an advantage.
• Experience in working with international teams towards engineering design will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills to liaise with international teams; Extra miler / self-driven to meet the commitments / goals. Be analytical and problem solving.
