ROLE PROFILE As an Application Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and optimising applications using Retool. You will enhance our capabilities in developing internal tools and client-facing interfaces with speed and efficiency. TECH PROFILE/ESSENTIAL SKILLS xe2x80xa2 3-5 years of technical experience. xe2x80xa2 3+ years of hands-on experience with Retool application development. xe2x80xa2 Proficient in writing efficient and scalable JavaScript code. xe2x80xa2 Solid experience with API integrations and managing databases. xe2x80xa2 Good understanding of UI/UX design principles and application performance optimisation. xe2x80xa2 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. xe2x80xa2 Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. xe2x80xa2 Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. xe2x80xa2 Experience with providing technical solutions and supporting documentation. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE xe2x80xa2 HTML (Hypertext Markup Language): Proficiency in HTML is fundamental, as it is the backbone of web content, structuring the elements and layout of web pages. xe2x80xa2 CSS (Cascading Style Sheets): Strong knowledge of CSS is essential for styling web pages, controlling typography, colors, and layouts, and ensuring a visually appealing design. xe2x80xa2 JavaScript: Mastery of JavaScript is crucial for adding interactivity, functionality, and dynamic features to web pages. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES xe2x80xa2 Collaborate with development teams and product managers to conceptualise software solutions using Retool. xe2x80xa2 Design and implement highly efficient user interfaces for internal and external applications. xe2x80xa2 Write robust JavaScript code to extend Retool's functionalities and integrate with third-party and internal APIs. xe2x80xa2 Ensure applications are responsive, performant, and scalable. xe2x80xa2 Engage in software testing to guarantee responsiveness and efficiency. xe2x80xa2 Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade applications to ensure high availability and reliability. xe2x80xa2 Create and maintain technical documentation related to application configuration, design, and deployment strategies. xe2x80xa2 Continuously seek to improve applications by exploring new features and capabilities released by Retool. xe2x80xa2 Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with business collaborators and impacted users. xe2x80xa2 Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to the process as it relates to assigned projects. xe2x80xa2 Frequently keeps up to date with the latest industry development and technology innovations. xe2x80xa2 Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help manage risks around ambiguity. xe2x80xa2 Strategic problem solver with strong intuition for business and well-versed in current technological trends and business concepts.
