We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction, prevention, and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people.Application Development AnalystPosition Overview:Evernorth Core Platform Engineering team is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and implement robust product APIs and event driven applications for Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs). You will be responsible for incorporating key features like rate resiliency, observability and rate limiting, to ensure our APIs are secure, perform, and monitored effectively.Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement robust backend APIs using OpenAPI specs
• Integrate rate limiting, resiliency strategies, and observability practices
• Develop cloud-native APIs ensuring scalability, resilience and adherence to best practices
• Champion event-driven architecture for efficient data flow
• Leverage cloud engineering principles, preferably with AWS experience
• Utilize NoSQL databases to store and manage data efficiently
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, etc.)

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API design principles (OpenAPI)
• Experience implementing rate limiting, resiliency patterns, and observability techniques using Kubernetes/OpenShift/ Docker
• Proficiency in cloud engineering, preferably with AWS experience
• Strong programming skills, particularly in TypeScript and/or Golang
• Expertise in NoSQL databases DynamoDB / MongoDB & Caching Solutions Redis/ EKS
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts

• 1-3 years of experience in Technology
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in backend engineering
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Exposure to AWS
• Healthcare experience including Disease Management
• Coaching of team members
