Introduction: Project Eagle Data Curation Team is responsible for creating model ready datasets (MRDs) used for PD model development. This includes enhancing/maintaining current R/ Python packages, and creating new MRDs using Python + SQL. The successful candidate will be part of development team, participating in all aspects of the development process, including regular interaction with product owner, user story analysis, technical design, implementation, code-reviews, testing, production deployment, and support. Candidate will be part of a team designing and delivering model ready datasets sourced from data extracted from multiple internal applications and few external data sources. What will you be doing Software development using Scripting Languages - Python, SQL, R, Latex Database - SQL Server, ETL Tools - SSIS OS - Windows & Linux Hadoop based platform Working as a hands on Python Developer to design and develop ETL code around complex business. Experience in designing large and complex Python based solutions Good experience in writing SQL SPs, Functions and managing regular DB related tasks. Exposure to creating/ managing scheduled jobs using Autosys. Working through the development cycle from requirement understanding, data analysis, design and development, automated testing and release management Understanding existing complex system flows and technical data flows and coming up with better design and solutions for existing or newly developed modules. Partnering effectively with globally distributed IT team members within team and across other teams Supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non- production environments as well as addressing any client/ user queries promptly Making technical updates to reduce the manual support overhead for the system. Following agile practices for all major/ minor deliveries. Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards. Ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off. Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards. Peer reviews Unit testing Support SIT, QA and UAT test phases Change management, Incident Management, Problem Management Managing monthly as well as adhoc releases by following all necessary standards and practices What we\'re looking for: Technical proficiency and experience in Data Engineering, Data Management and Data Analysis. A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large unstructured datasets. Experience of shaping and defining solutions across disparate technologies Experience of working with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation. Manage solution delivery Experience in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency. Ability to work independently and proactively. Ability to build productive working relationships with other BTB/ RTB teams and business users. Strong ability to analyse data attention to detail and good quantitative ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a good command over English Ability to explain complex technical and functional topics in simple terms Willingness to work closely as part of a team with users, developers and BAs outside home locations Positive team player Willing to learn and use initiative. Dedicated and reliable detail oriented and results driven Capable of dealing with diverse teams across multiple locations Skills that will help you in the role: A degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred. Software development expertise using Scripting Languages - C#, Python, SQL, R, Latex Database - SQL Server, ETL Tools - SSIS OS - Windows & Linux Managing data on Hadoop based platform Experience with database technologies, data modelling, or data preparation Practical experience in full software development lifecycle using Agile methods. Hands on experience with Git or other source code control tools. Proven analytical skills, including ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressure environment. Willingness to broaden skill sets and learn a secondary technology where necessary.
